QR codes for real estate signs
One rider, every listing.

Order one steel QR rider, hang it under your sign, and point it at whichever home it stands in front of. When the house sells, move the rider and change the link in your dashboard. Nothing gets reprinted.

In short

Print a dynamic QR code: the rider opens a short link you own, and the link forwards to the current listing. Give the sign, the flyer and the open house their own links to see which one brought each buyer, and send the seller a live stats page instead of a screenshot.

One rider, every listing

  1. 1

Make one link for the rider

Create a link such as go.yourname.com/sign on a domain you own. It is the address the printed code will always open.

  2. 2

Make the QR code and order the rider

Download the code as SVG for the sign maker. Put a line beside it that says what the scan gets: "Scan for photos and price".

  3. 3

Point it at the home it stands in front of

Set the link's destination to that listing's page. Scans start counting the moment the sign goes up.

  4. 4

Sold? Move the rider and change the link

Hang the rider at the next home and change the destination in your dashboard, from your phone if you like. The same steel now opens the new listing.

Want the numbers for one address? Every scan is dated, so a custom date range shows the weeks the rider stood there. How far back you can look depends on your plan: 7 days on Free, 6 months on Starter.

Which one brought the buyer?

Give each piece of marketing for a home its own link. They can all open the same listing page; your dashboard keeps their scans apart.

A scan shows the time, the city and the phone, not the person. When a buyer calls, ask how they found the home and check it against the log. Add a tag such as utm_source=yard-sign to each destination and your website analytics can tell the visits apart too.

Your sign, your buyer

On the big listing portals, the contact button on a home's page can connect the buyer with an agent who pays the portal for leads in that area, and that agent may not be you.

The sign in the yard only ever points one way. A buyer who scans your rider lands on the page you picked: your listing page, your contact form, your number. It is the one piece of a listing's marketing that leads back to you and no one else.

Send the seller a report

Sellers want to know the sign is doing something. Turn on the public stats page for a link and send them the address. They see scans over time, unique visitors, countries and devices, and the page stays current without you sending anything else. They don't need an account.

The rider's page also counts the homes it stood at before. For a report about one home only, share the page of a link that has only ever pointed at it, such as that listing's flyer or open-house link.

The code on your steel keeps working

A rider is something you paid to have made, and it should outlast any software trial. Track Link never deletes or switches off a QR code because a trial ended, or because you downgraded or cancelled. The code keeps sending people to its destination, and you can still change where it points.

The exception is abuse: a link that breaks our terms, such as one used for phishing, can be disabled.

Before you order the rider

  • Scan the rider from the curb with an iPhone and an Android phone before you order a batch.
  • Size the code for the distance. A common rule of thumb is about 1 cm of code for every 10 cm people stand away, so a rider read from the sidewalk needs a far bigger code than a flyer.
  • Keep it dark on a light background, with a clear margin around it.
  • Open a page that loads fast on a phone and shows photos, price and how to reach you.
  • Scans go straight to the listing on every plan, Free included.

Real estate sign QR code FAQ

Can I reuse the same QR code for a different listing?

Yes, as long as the code opens a short link you control rather than the listing address itself. Change the link's destination in your dashboard and the printed code opens the new home. A code that has the listing address baked into it can't be changed after printing.

Will the last listing's scans mix with the new one?

They sit on the same link, but every scan is dated, so a custom date range in your dashboard shows the weeks the rider stood at each address. For a clean count per home, give each home its own flyer and open-house links as well.

Can I see who scanned my sign?

Not by name. A scan records the time, the city, the device and the browser, but not who the person is. When a buyer gets in touch, ask how they found the home and compare it with the scan log.

Can the seller see the numbers without an account?

Yes. Turn on the public stats page for a link and send the seller its address. They see scans over time, unique visitors, countries and devices, without signing up. The page covers the history your plan keeps: 7 days on Free, 6 months on Starter.

What happens to the code when the house sells or my plan changes?

Point it at your sold page, your other listings or your contact page until the rider goes up at the next home. Track Link never deletes or switches off a QR code because a trial ended, or because you downgraded or cancelled; the code keeps sending people to its destination. The exception is a link that breaks our terms, such as one used for phishing, which can be disabled.

Do buyers need an app to scan it?

No. The camera on current iPhones and Android phones reads QR codes, and the code opens an ordinary web link.
