Quick answer

To track Digistore24 conversions, add cid={click_id} to your promolink in Track Link, then add an S2S Postback integration in Digistore24 with your Track Link postback URL and the {cid}, {amount_affiliate}, {transaction_id} and {transaction_type} macros. Select the payment, refund and chargeback events. Each sale lands on the click that made it, and refunds take it back out.

Set up Digistore24 tracking

Once per Digistore24 account. New promolinks only need step 1.

1. Add cid to your promolink

Create a Track Link link with your Digistore24 promolink as the destination and add cid={click_id}. The Links page recognises digistore24.com and checkout-ds24.com links and offers to add it for you.

2. Add an S2S Postback integration

Open Conversions in Track Link, pick Digistore24 and copy the postback URL. Then open Digistore24 → Sales & partners → Integrations → Add New Integration → S2S Postback, paste it and save.

3. Choose the events

Select payment, refund and chargeback. Payments record the sale, and refunds and chargebacks take it back out of revenue.

4. Test both sides

Press Digistore24's test button: the setup guide on the Conversions page shows the test arrived. Then open your link and press Simulate a sale to check the click ID reaches Digistore24.

Your Track Link destination

https://www.digistore24.com/redir/PRODUCT_ID/YOUR_ID/?cid={click_id}

Your postback URL in Digistore24

https://api.gettrack.link/postback/YOUR_KEY?click_id={cid}&payout={amount_affiliate}&currency={currency}&txid={transaction_id}&status={transaction_type}&billing={billing_type}&test={is_test}

YOUR_KEY is your workspace key — the Conversions page shows the full URL ready to copy.

What each Digistore24 macro does

MacroWhat it carries
{cid}The Track Link click ID your promolink carried — how the sale finds its click.
{amount_affiliate}Your commission on the payment, which becomes the conversion's value.
{currency}The currency of that commission, so EUR and USD sales aren't mixed up.
{transaction_id}Digistore24's transaction ID. Refunds, chargebacks and rebills each get a new one.
{transaction_type}payment, refund or chargeback. A refund or chargeback takes the sale out of revenue.
{billing_type}Whether it's a one-off payment, an installment plan or a subscription. Repeat payments on a plan count as rebills.
{is_test}Marks a test transaction, so tests are logged and never counted as sales.

Refunds find their sale

A refund arrives with a new transaction ID, so Track Link matches it to the sale on the same click and takes that sale out of revenue, once.

Rebills stay on the first click

Subscription and installment payments add revenue to the click that won the customer, so lifetime value per ad is visible.

Buying traffic? Send each new Digistore24 sale to NewsBreak, Taboola, Outbrain or MGID so they optimise for buyers. Rebills aren't sent as new sales.

The most common Digistore24 mistake

Pointing ads at the vendor's own sales page instead of the promolink. Digistore24 only learns the cid if the visitor passes through the promolink, or if the vendor page forwards it to the order form. Keep cid before any # in the URL too: browsers never send what comes after it. The setup guide on the Conversions page warns about both.

Digistore24 tracking FAQ

Where do I add the postback URL in Digistore24?

In Digistore24 → Sales & partners → Integrations → Add New Integration → S2S Postback. Paste your Track Link postback URL, select the payment, refund and chargeback events, and save.

Which Digistore24 parameter carries the click ID?

cid. Add cid={click_id} to your promolink, for example https://www.digistore24.com/redir/PRODUCT_ID/YOUR_ID/?cid={click_id}. Digistore24 keeps the value through checkout and sends it back as {cid} in the postback. Promolinks on checkout-ds24.com take the same parameter.

Why does Digistore24's test postback not create a sale?

Digistore24's test sends sample values such as cid=some-id instead of a real click ID, so Track Link logs it as a test and records nothing. That tells you the URL is saved correctly. Real sales carry the click ID from your visitor's promolink.

How are Digistore24 refunds and chargebacks tracked?

Digistore24 gives every refund and chargeback its own transaction ID, so it can't be matched by transaction alone. Track Link applies it to the sale on the same click with the same amount, or else the most recent sale on that click, marks that sale refunded and removes it from revenue. A resent refund isn't applied twice.

Are subscription and installment payments counted?

Yes. With {billing_type} in the postback, a later payment on a subscription or installment plan is recorded as a rebill on the original click. It adds to that click's revenue, and it isn't sent to your traffic source as another new customer.

My ads send visitors to the vendor's sales page. Will tracking work?

Only if that page passes cid on to the Digistore24 order form, and many vendor pages don't. The reliable setup is to use your Digistore24 promolink as the Track Link destination, so Digistore24 sees cid before the visitor reaches the vendor. If sales arrive under Sales we couldn't match on the Conversions page, this is the usual cause.

Is Digistore24 tracking free?

Recording Digistore24 sales, refunds and rebills works on every plan, including Free, with your own keyed postback URL. Pro+ plans add a log of every postback and forwarding each sale to the traffic source that bought the click.
